LEGACY OF MARATHAS

NaadiJodhidam (Jotish) was written originally in Sanskrit on palm leaves by the great Rishis of ancient India, like Bhrigu, Agasthiya, Kaushika, Vashishtha and others, and it is more popular in South India. His highness Sri. Venkoji Maharaja, descendant of Sivaji Maharaja, established the Maratha rule in Tamilnadu in the year 1676, with Tanjore as their Head Quarters. The control was taken over by the Britishers in 1798 from the Marathas, when Robert Clive was the Governor of Madras Presidency.

The Marathas during their rules were true patrons of Arts, Science, Medicine, Vedas, Astrology etc. The great works of ancient India were all kept in the famous SaraswatiMahal Library at Tanjore and maintained by them. During the reign of the great king Sarabhoji Maharaja, the Sanskrit works, including those relating to Naadi Astrology were translated into old poetic Tamil Language and written on Palm leaves and kept in SaraswathiMahal Library. During the same period, though the whole North India was under the control of Mohammediyans, the great Marathas managed to preserve all such great works in their SaraswathiMahal Library. Procedure of Naadi prediction

 
Actually palm leaves are written in the form of old poetry in Tamil language and it is not easy to read as it is written by hand. So we need some experience to read, and to explain.

First we should take the general prediction for all. It is compulsory to all. How do we find the general prediction? Here, there are number of palm leaves bundles, and each bundle contains forty to fifty different type people’s general prediction leaves.

How do we know which is our leaf? Already we know each general prediction leaf contain the person’s name, the birth year, month, date, day, star and the planetary position when the time of birth, religion, character, educational qualification, job, profession, business, social service house, land vehicle, disease, loan, court case, particulars about parents and names, if married husband or wife’s name and particulars, particulars about children, particulars about co born and general prediction from this age up to end.

In Naadi astrology in the written particulars, coincide a person, only a particular period of age, as each age has different particulars. But the written leaf never changes. So we will arrive at the exact time. Hence we call this approach Astrology (in Tamil approach means naadi) or it is called Naadi Astrology.

After getting the leaf we have to copy every thing onto a notebook and we have to explain. But in Naadi astrology there are no of bundles for general prediction. To read one bundle it will take thirty minutes time approximately. It is too difficult to read all bundles. To avoid this we are taking thumb impression left thumb for ladies and right for men.

Each thumb impression has a name. The name of the thumb impression is written in the palm leaf and there are one hundred and eight types according to Naadi astrology. Like Sanku ,Meru, Sikari, Vattam, Varimahudam, Vaal, Konam with suzhi, chutru one or two and with dots one, two, three, etc.

Each type of thumb impression contains numerous bundles. All Naadi Astrological centers have two to six bundles, for each type of thumb impression. By using your thumb impression we can find two to six bundles from our collection. It then becomes easy to locate the bundle. If your leaf is found within this bundle, we can give the prediction that day itself, or else you must come to our place once again.

Once you get the general prediction, the first part, then the later part is very easy to take and give prediction. The later part, we can choose as per your wishes. Here we speak about the remedial part of this Naadi Astrology, mostly dependent on the planets. Due to our previous birth sins, we will get difficulties and problems to complete this birth. Some people want quit this cycle of birth and they take the easy way out, by not finding the approach- suicide, as they are unable to overcome their problems.

In order to avoid such a situation, we direct them by shanthi kandom, to surrender to the planet to reduce the problem, or have the will power to over come any type of problem. We must understand one thing in shanthi kandom ,we are not giving the way to get rid of past sins, it assists in reducing the intensity; as sins committed once, will go, only by our paschatapam/ approach. So we always pray for willpower, to overcome any situation and possibly avoid the commitment of sins. For that there are spiritual kandoms to lead good life. Similarly the raksha kandom, it is not killing our present enemy or the future enemy. The enemies will change time to time. So wearing the talisman is to empower our belief and willpower to over come any type of enemies.

What is Naadi?

Naadi is a collection of palm leaves. In Tamil it means ‘in search of’. The palm leaf inscriptions of an individual are traced out efficiently, with the help of ones thumb impression. Lines, curves and curls on the thumb of people, are classified into 108 types. The Naadi palm leaves are categorized by siddhas, in tune with these types. The experienced Naadi readers, usually identifies the particular type or pattern of the lines on the thumb, and the corresponding bunch of palm leaves are taken from the library. This tracing process is a tiresome one. From this palm leaves inscriptions one can get great insight in his own life.

Naadi Astrology - the most accurate mode of revealing life, is a prime school of thought in Indian astrology. In simple words it is a mammoth collection of everyone’s past, present and future. It is written by enlightened masters or siddhas. These siddhas are a unique community of enlightened sages. Lord Siva, the prime God in the belief of trinity in Hinduism, pleased with the siddhas devotion, blessed them with some exclusive powers. He gave them the incredible ability to read and know the past, present and future of people. The earlier generations of these siddhas, were kind enough to pass this ocean of knowledge, to the following generations. They etched their immense knowledge in palm leaves called Naadis.

Naadi astrology is one of the ways to know our prediction. There are many types like horoscope, palmistry, horary astrology, numerology, pronology, vasthu, pendulum, arudam.

Actually planets control our predictions. Each and every incident depends with planet. Our ancient people like Rishis and Sages discovered this. Each and every people take number of births, to accomplish all type of experience. In all birth we have fulfilled some expectations. But even the time of fulfillment is very important. Because marrying a girl is should be in the proper age not in old age. So untimely fulfillment always leaves something incomplete in our life. Up to completion the birth will continue. Any how the next birth is unavoidable.

One question will arise now. Is there any example of anybody completing the cycle of birth? Yes some people take effort for money and properties, some for post and some for spiritual reasons. Here the way isn’t according to you, because you will give many excuse favorable to you. Lord Krishna gave an improper advice to Bhima, to kill Dhuriyodhana in the battle field, which Parasurama didn’t like and went away from the place.

Even getting a medical collage seat by recommendation or influence, or by any other means for our children, is the improper way. This improper way of fulfillment will influence our consecutive births. So all our karma - good or bad will reflect the good and bad experiences, to fulfill each and every expectation of the present birth, and consecutive births. There is one to one correspondence between the planetary position of birth time, and last birth’s karma. Our sages, knew this one to one correspondence, by theirs vision and spiritualism. By this concept they wrote this Naadi Astrology.
